The Rockford Files was a premiered on the 27th of March 1974 and lasted on the 1st of January 1980. The series stars James Garner as Jim Rockford, an ex-con turns as private investigator of those cases that has been closed. Jim had been imprisoned for an armed robbery he didn't commit and was later pardoned. Joining Jim was his father Joseph also known as Rocky who gave him advice, words of wisdom and even assistance, his best friend Sgt. Dennis Becker who later became Lieutenant who helps him get important information about the cases he handles, his lawyer, friend and ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Davenport and his former cell-mate Evelyn Martin also known as Angel who is always up to something illegal.
